Call to Confession      Rev. Blevins

Prayer of Confession - In Unison

God of great compassion, we praise you, for you have forgiven us in Jesus Christ.  We thank you because you are patient with us when we stumble and love us when we act in unlovable ways.  We know that you ask us to do the same.  We confess today that forgiving is sometimes very hard.  There are some wrongs that have been done to us that truly seem unforgivable.  We do not always want to forgive.  Often we would rather nurse our anger and hold a grudge than forgive.

Help us, God, for we really do desire to be the forgiving people that you have freed us to be; in the name of Christ we pray.  Amen.
