Prayer of Invocation - In Unison

O God, open our hearts to you, that we may be led by your Spirit to render to you true worship. Receive, we pray, the words from our voices, the gifts from our hands, and the service from our daily living, for we pray in the name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.

 Call to Confession      Rev. Blevins

Prayer of Confession – In Unison

Lord God, forgive our feeble efforts to make you over to fit our image: It is easier to restate your truth in easy clichés than it is to speak in words that change one’s mind; It is easier to rewrite your hope in easy answers than it is to see through one’s perplexity; It is easier to rethink your grace in easy pardon than it is to modify one’s way. By the Holy Spirit, visit us with the full depth of your forgive-ness and make us over to fit your image. We pray in the name of the Resurrected Savior, Jesus Christ.  Amen.
