March 2008 Meeting

Benevolent Outreach Activities/Ideas:
Good Samaritan: Good Samaritan is in need of the following: powdered mil & cereal; canned milk
First Baptist Weekday School: We will continue to collect items for art supplies. Marsha will make a box with a list attached.
Hospice Program: please continue to collect bud vases and literature
Red Cross: Ann Marie suggested that we do personal care kits and clean up kits like we did last year. We need to call Ginger Weaver to see what they need. Judy said that clean up kits are available at Lowe's (bucket & supplies).
New Business/Upcoming Events:
Maundy Thursday Dinner & Program: Dinner at 6:00 P.M.
Easter Sunday: Sunrise Service at 7:00 AM at Berry Hill; breakfast following service (covered dish)
No Sunday School; bring flowers for the cross
Exam Goody Boxes: (Brian & Whitney) begin collection April 1st
Dinner/Discussion: Friday, April 25th at 6:30 PM: Mexican Dinner at church. Leigh will put sign up sheet in Fellowship Hall. Following dinner, Dave and Susan Cullen will talk about their mission work.
Bible School: set for July 14 - July 18 (10 a.m. - 12 p.m.)
SPED Prom: give $150.00 to Betsey for prom.
Father's/Mother's Day: Dolly will get gifts
Awana-type Program: we will discuss closer to summer. If we try this, we will try it in the summer when everyone is not so busy.
Ann Marie needs suggestions for Guest Speakers throughout the year.
